a cell division is when the cell actually splits in half (cytokinesis). So in mitosis this occurs once, right after telophase, and in meiosis it occurs twice, once after meiosis I and once again after meiosis II
If you mean to ask how many stages there are in meiosis, then in meiosis I there is :prophase 1, metaphase 1, anaphase 1 and telophase 1. and then there is a period in between called interkinesis followed by meiosis 2, which has prophase 2, metaphase 2, anaphase 2 and telophase 2. note that interphase only means the period in between cycles of cell division, nothing actually occurs during it (except for DNA replication).

In mitosis the cell divides just once. Start with one cell and end up with two.

In meiosis the cell divides twice. Start with one and end up with four.

You're listing the phases of what happens with the chromosomes. That's not the same thing as cell divisions.
