Courtney!!!
I may be a bit biased....since my name is Courtney, but I still think that is the best way to spell it.

I LOVE having a name that none of my friends or classmates have. Everyone knows how to pronounce it, because it's not a totally unusual name. I have only met about 2 other Courtney's. Everyone never has had trouble pronouncing my name, becuase people have heard of it.

If you have to tell people to pronounce it like a different spelling, just go with the original spelling.
If you go with Courteney, people will probably say Court-en-ee.
If you go with Courtnay, people will probably say Court-neigh (as in a horse's neigh, rhyming with weigh.)

All my friends love my name, especially those with very common names.

So, I would go with COURTNEY!

P.S. - some things I figured out about my name:

Every other letter spells the word cute.
C o U r T n E y

Also in my name, the word corny.
C O u R t N e Y

When in doubt, always stick with the most traditional and familiar -- Courtney.

Courteney would likely be mispronounced KORT-e-nee quite often (just as the slight middle syllable in Morrigan or Alethea is supposed to be said). If there's no reason for the added "e," why use it?

Likewise, Courtnay may lead others to believe you intended to change the pronunciation by changing the spelling, and therefore assume this KORT-nay, rather than -nee.

Basically, if you don't mean to imply an altered pronunciation, there's no reason to use an alternate spelling. Since you'd like them all "pronounced the same as the top one," it follows that you simply use the "top one." ;)

Personally, I think Courtney spelled with a "K" is the best spelling (Kourtney). It adds a little twist! :)
