the problem is trying to go wireless with a belkin usb adapter,computer recognizes the adapter,but can not get online with it,i don't know it windows ME allows that or not, any help would be appreciated

If you run the router software on your computer, it should work good. Otherwise update the driver on the card.

If the computer sees the wireless adapter, you should see an Icon in the sys tray for wireless. Click on that and connect to the wireless router. You will need to enter the access code or encryption key if the router has been properly secured and set up. Once connected, you should be able to access the Internet
