I am familiar with spinning machines in manufacturing and in DNA labs. They are called centrifuges.

Um ... centrifugal casting machine? I used a vertical one for lost-wax casting when I was in Advanced Crafts never-mind-how-long-ago. :-)

The process is also called spin-casting, but that gets confused with fly-fishing.
