He put Osama Bin Laden on the FBI's most wanted list and blew up an aspirin factory. Thus, having saved the day, went back to mollesting interns.

Clinton kept us safe from terrorism because when he was in office the rest of the world had respect for the US . By clearing the debt of some 3rd world countries he truly helped our relationship with not only those countries but alot of others around the world . He may have had a screwed up personal life but he kept our country in great shape . Maybe the better question is , What has bush done to keep us safe from terrorism ? He has effectively managed to alienate us from most of the rest of the world by starting a war on false circumstances, using up our military so that if we need to really defend freedom ( such as in Iran ) we aren,t in a position to do so . He has run down the surplus that we had and put us into major debt , had thousands of innocent people from our country and Iraq slautered , and has to big of an ego to even hint that he may have been wrong . So really , I think the question should be " How did our president fool so many people into beleiving one of the biggest lies in our nations history ?" Bill Clinton did a hell of alot more for this country than Bush could ever even hope to do , and I think that later history will reveal this truth .

That's an easy question to answer. He hired Madeline Albright to put out fires all over the globe. Albright was the diplomats, diplomat, and she was smart, too. Well, maybe not real smart. She didn't realize, until just before she was hired by Clinton, that she was a Jew.
Can you imagine that? This woman lived her entire life, her parents died in a concentration camp run by the Nazi's, but she didn't know she was a Jew. I guess they didn't allow mirrors in the foster homes that she lived in, after the war.
One look ar Madeline and you knew you weren't looking at a Coleen. In any case, Madeline kept us safe with her win, win attitude. While she was sweet talking the Arabs, they were planning their next attack.

Absolutely nothing!! Under his watch, the world became immeasurably more dangerous!!! Mr. Clinton alone is responsible for the current wave of terrorist activity around the world! While he focused on his extramarital affairs, the extremists around the world, began to look upon the west, as weak enough to be attacked! He single handily made a circus of the oval office! To the effect that good leaders will not seek the office anymore, because of the mockery of the media! On top of all this, the ignorant American media, broadcasts to whole world how ridiculous we are!!! WOW!!! I have seen the enemy, and it is us!!!

Not much.
Did nothing as our facilities, embassies, and Navy ships were blown up by terrorists.
Did nothing as the WTC went through it's first bombing.
Did nothing as Al-Queda planned for *years* the 9/11 bombing.
Did not accept Sudan's offer to hand over Bin Laden on a silver platter.
Did not kill Bin Laden when the opportunities came up. That's right plural since he had more than one chance.
Yes - this and more is how Clinton got "tough" with terrorism.

It is really sad seeing some of these answers. Bill Clinton showed al queda that a few casaulties would cause us to cut and run from Somlia (Black Hawk Down). He then proved to them we had no serious response to terrorist attacks (WTC 1st attack, US Embassies in Africa, and finally the USS Cole). When offered terrorist leaders like Osama Bin Laden he refused them. BJ Clinton deserves far more blame for 911 then he'll ever get.

Pretty much it seems.
What is the difference in the number of terrorist caused US deaths during his 8 years, and President Bush's 6+years?

Nothing, the Trade Center was planned under his administration, Clintons. He did not get OBL from the sudan when he had the chance. Don't forget the Cole bombing in fall of 200o. If anything Clinton enabled them, and so will his wife if elected.

hey I see most of you saying he did nothing..
But dont you see he was a better person to protect the USA than Bush today..
Its been at his time that America has been in such a big danger and fear of attack..
though you say he has protected you better?
How many Americans (as well Iraqis and the Afghanis) are killed in the battle on the land of the Middle East??
I guess more than the attack on WTC...
Then whats been the point in doing all that?
You see you do nothing but mae others place a hell as well as yours in fear

Nothing
After the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, which killed six and injured 1,000, President Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
After the 1995 bombing in Saudi Arabia, that killed five U.S. military personnel, Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
After the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed 19 and injured 200 U.S. military personnel, Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
After the 1998 bombing of U.S. embassies in Africa, which killed 224 and injured 5,000, Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
After the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole, which killed 17 and injured 39 U.S. sailors, Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
Maybe if Clinton had kept those promises, an estimated 3,000 people in New York and Washington, D.C. that are now dead would be alive today
