Sounds like you are familiar with the fellowship, if you know what I mean.

I don't like repeating the same mistakes, have become cautious of that now, more than when I was younger, so may do it a couple times at the most, and when I see no results, move on to another method or something different.

I think i've read this question before.....
That is one of the definitions of insanity, to keep doing the same thing and expecting different results. I guess everyone has done it in some way.

Probably the only mistake that I have repeated over and over is falling in love with the wrong people, I think most of the other stuff once is enough to keep me from doing it again!! You'd think I would've learned from the ones that hurt the most and not repeated them!! You'd think anyway!!

Here's a goofy example; I have a home phone number that is one digit off a Home Depot store's number. People frequently call my number by mistake, I tell them they have the wrong number, and within a few seconds of hanging up - they call back! I guess they pressed redial!

I think we must bang our head against the wall and say ouch a few (hundred) times before we become willing to change the behavior that causes pain!

Yes.
I listen to my wife every day, regarding numerous subjects, and still fail to get any sense out of her.
We are discussing my best friends impending child with his girlfriend and she is singing ''It's not unusual...'' by Tom Jones.
I mean, WTF?
Still, I do like that song ;-)

Yeah, but sometimes the results are different. Last year, I ate and ate and ate and got really fat. This year, I eat and eat and eat and keep getting smaller.

Yeah like looking in the fridge hoping there is something there that I like that wasn't there the last time I looked.
