Oh boy! With my children, I explain why I think it is wrong and the possible consequences I can see. With the younger ones I simply forbid the action if it is dangerous to them.
Adults I love will get a "are you sure that's what you want to do?" and then I back off. They know I am here for them if needed.

It's sooooooo hard to do, but unless it puts someone else in danger, I just think to myself, "It's not my life, not my money, not my boyfriend, not my car, etc." and accept their choice, because in the end, even if we feel badly for them (or even if we feel good), they are the people who make and live with their decisions. And that's how we want people to treat our decisions, so it keeps things balanced.

I tell my loved ones that I don't like the decisions they made and tell them what I'd like instead.

Tell them WHY I dont like it, and if it directly affects ME, I ask that they discuss making decisions or plans that involve me BEFORE they commit to it, as I have a right to say NO.

As hard as it may be for you, if they are an adult then you have to let them live their lives!! As long as you've let them know how you feel, if they're you're children, just know that you've raised them to be the best that they can be!! Be there for them if they fall!! I've made a lot of mistakes in my life and my family has always been there for me!! If you need to talk send me an email, I'm there for you Anjel!!

If the decision involves me it's one thing, if it doesn't, it's another.

You just deal...
My mom decides to yell at me and point out my faults, even if it's in front of someone. I just deal.
My brother thinks it's a good idea to smoke pot. I just deal.
My friends abandoned me out in the cold. And I just deal.
That's life. Just try to move on...
