who should be the devils new captain?

the devils announced today that gionta, zubrus, and elias(!) will all be alternate captains. elias was captain last year, so this means that they will need a new one. who do you think will wear the "C"?

i gotta say i think it will be madden. parise is a good hoice, but might still be too young. white is to moody, martin already has enough pressure on him from taking over rafalski's role, and pandolfo could be good too

Head coach Brent Sutter announced that the Devils' captaincy was up for grabs. Now I remember that Elias was give the C for staying with the team and this might make problems down the road. Madden and other veteran players have been wearing the A before and this will also create a problem down the road. But the new head coach is trying to make the team into an up tempo team and this is going to a bit of a different system for the team. I think that Elias should still have the C because he has proven to be a leader in the past and can help the team with his skills, but he dose have times when he is in a drought on scoring. Also I think they just gave the A to Elias, Gionta and Zubrus because this is a way to keep them and make them seam happier. Take a look at the link below.

Yeah sounds like they are gonna share it. I'd put in my vote for Madden though
