It seems that treason involves a citizen. Depending on what the person did, they can be charged with spying, stealing, fraud, conspiracy, terrorism, murder, etc.

Under our current administration's new laws, though, any person (citizen or non-citizen) can be declared an enemy combatant and be stuck in jail indefinitely without any constitutional rights (like the right to a speedy trial, the right to legal counsel, etc.).

A non-American cannot commit treason against America. They can be guilty of spying.

Its not treason, its an act of terrorism
