girls always get everything they want. we get to have our cake and eat it too, no matter what the cake is shaped like. just accept it, boys. there is nothing you can do. we have something that you need and you cant stand it.

Mercuri is a smart guy, but we disagree on this issue. Instead of telling you why I think Macs are better, I'm going to show you how I formed my opinion. You can try the same thing: Get a sheet of paper and a pen. Make two columns: one for Windows Problems, and one for Mac Problems. Go to the Yahoo Answers "Computers and Internet" category. Go through several pages. Maybe 10 pages of it. Look at all the questions regarding something broken on the computer, or a virus, or stuff like that. For every Windows problem, put a tick in the Windows column. For every Mac problem, put 9 ticks in the Mac column (since Macs are only 10%--a 1:9 ratio). When you're done, you'll find that one column has many, many more ticks than the other. The one with significantly less ticks is better.

There has to be a whole lot that led up to that ultimatum. I would think addressing the real issues would be the wiser thing to do......on your side...possibly....is he jealous of your computer...or of what your are doing with it? Does he feel threatened for some reason? On his side....are you putting your net time ahead of family time? Are neglecting your family/home responsibilities because you spend too much time on line? Are you involving yourself in an on line relationship? All I can say is...been there..done that...then I took a step back into reality and chilled out on my puter addiction. It sounds like you and hubby need to work on some stuff, this box of wires can be very deceptive hun...and heartbreaking. It will not replace a warm body that loves you. best of luck!

You did the same thing I would have done in a similar situation!~!~
When I was co~habituating I felt she didn't like the time I spent on the 'puter ~ but she didn't say anything and consequently she ate out more and had more $$ to spend (which she enjoyed) and we were both happy!

Is it sad that my computer, at times, is my other half?
I wish I had an old man to make idle threats at me, *sigh*

I would choose him instead of my computer, even though it's gonna be hard. He's more important and besides, the computer isn't EVERYTHING to me. (=

We compromise....
I stay off the computer when he is here and awake, and he spoils me rotten for being so considerate of his feelings.
Peace.
