Honestly, you really need to sit your husband down, and tell him how it makes you feel when he doesn't stick up for you. You can tell him that you understand his family will always be his family, but you are also his "family" and you need him too. Tell him that you need to know that your husband will be by your side. Speak calmly, don't raise your voice, and let him know just how important this is to you. Let him know how much he means to you. 10 years is nothing to laugh at. Good luck!!

Is it that he is not defending you, or he really dont give a s h i t what they think...my mom hated my now ex wife, and chopped her up into little pieces behind her back, and to me, but i told my wife at the time i don't care what my mom thinks, she has her opinion and if you disagree then defend yourself. ask him if you defend yourself what his response would be...would he remain neutral...what are the issues needing defense, ask him if the reason he doesn't defend you is because he agrees with them. Maybe you need to look at you. are the issues based on a control factor, are they personality conflicts? knowing more about the type of issues would help in giving ideas on resolving or confronting the matters, but after 10 years, is it really an issue or are you being overly sensitive. your at that point in the marriage where you want reassurance for the next 10...don't make mountains out of molehills to achieve this. look at the root of the issue before jumping the gun...good luck,

do as I did. first let them all know how u feel about them, and be truthful.Damn lying or running in circles with them. And then let Ur hubby know that he can see his family but U want no part of it.I have literally refused all contact with hubbies family for over 7 years.Works great for me.They are ignorant humans and He is an *** for not standing up for me when he should. As far as his friends,do the same.U r not a floor rug Hun.U r human with feelings. So make that apparent.Hubbies swear ed he defended me(of course behind my back) LOL,So I literally divorced his family. It has worked great for me.

Your his wife you should be first in his life. Tell him how it makes you feel when he doesn't defends you to his families and friends. He should respect the way other people speak to you, mostly his families and friends say to you. Because your a part of his family now they too should also respect you as well as you respect the families and friends. Let him know how you really feel about him not defending his wife to other people whether its families or friend.

Normally a spouse would defend.Logically who is legit. Are the complaints valid?Or are they just full of poo?Either way he should defend his 'brides' honor. Most spouses would. If he's not going to why did he marry?I would talk to him.

well talk to him , tell him that when he do that , he is disrespecting himself b4 disrespecting u , cos a man is his wife protector, he cares for her, he loves her, he defend her, he keeps her away from trouble or any bad situations, tell him that u love him but he hurt u when he do it.
good luck.
