I bought a box of Badia Star Anise Tea, imported from Spain, from the Hispanic foods aisle. It claims to aid in digestion. Is it safe?

I seen that tea in a health food store and I bought some and used it.. tastes like licorce!
Safe? well herbal teas most are safer than all the medical stuff and safer than the preservatives added to foods sold in store!

Doubtful. Anise is just a spice that gives licorice it's taste (the black licorice of course). But I doubt it can hurt you. If you like the flavor, you can have a cup now and then!
