I went to get my another illinois drivers license done cause I lost my. When I went outside I had found that some one scratched my new 2007 SUV. I was so pissed that some one saw that and didnt say anything. Luckey for who ever did it that I didn't see them otherwise the law wouldn't even be able to stop me from killing a low life like that. I respect everyones property cause every1 works hard for their money so that they are able to have nice things. The place was mainly old people and honestly I have respect for elders but when **** like that is done **** them all they shouldn't be able to driver pass the age of 60.

Age discrimination is illegal, so states can not act on this alone.

I do, however, think we need to pass a law requiring drivers to pass a road test every so many years.

People should absolutely have to take a road test, eye test and reflex test every few years. I have so many stories about old people hitting me or almost hitting me and usually having no idea what was going on. How about the guy in LA that plowed through the farmers market and killed about 20, injuring about 70? How often do we see old people driving through the front of buildings? Happens all the time. We make 16 year old pass tests and don't let 14 year olds drive. why should 90 year olds be allowed automatically to drive? We had to pull spark plugs out of my Grandma's car cuz she was 90, could barely walk or see, hardly even recognized anybody any more, but would not give up driving. Is that safe? Nope, but completely legal.

Illinois has some of the strictest laws for elderly drivers. When you reach the age of 80, your license is only valid for two years, and when you turn 87, the license is only valid for 1 year. When you reach 75, you have to take a driving test at every renewal.

i personally think that all elderly people should have driving tests maybe every 5 years from the age of 60 on, because so many of them are horrible at driving!! my first car accident was with an old lady, dumb hag!
