Help me please. I need some good violin solos that have a disturbed, hopeless feeling to them...come on, I know they're out there!

check out some Bartok, or Alban Berg, Schoenberg, they've written some creepy sounding stuff

"Elenor Rigby" by either The Beatles or Kansas (who did a really great redux of the Fab Four hit).

But if you seek a dark, gothic vein, stuff from Lydia Lunch from the album "13:13" is PERFECT for Halloween.
