No, school IS NOT pointless. Every single thing you learn will help you in some way at some time in your life. Even if it's just to make you more patient or tolerant or able to concentrate better. You can never, ever learn too much in this short life and you can never, ever SEE too much. SO, learn all you can and never stop learning AND travel as much as you can. It's a great education, too. Take it from a 53 year old grandmother who only graduated from high school- but has read enough that everyone thinks I have a university education- life passes very quickly, and you will regret not taking advantage of the opportunities that you have right now while you are young! Make the most of them!

I don't think it's a waste of time, even though I'm an aspiring actress. Because if the acting thing doesn't work out, I'm going to need a back up plan and what I'm learning right now may end up helping me in the long run.

You will use history, you may not realize it, but you will. some of the stuff you learn in higher level math classes you won't use ever again, but that doesn't mean it's pointless to learn. I understand why you're frustrated, because I get sick of school sometimes too, but I also understand that the things I am learning will be useful to me eventually.

I know. Some of that stuff really does seem useless, especially if that's not the field you want to go into. But think of it this way: you need it to graduate, and you need to graduate to get into college, and you need to go to college to get a good job. Just look at the big picture. It will all pay off eventually.

You will use history all the time. Believe me. History is IMPORTANT. And if you think high school is bad, try college. I have to read all of my textbooks, plus 3 books each for my two history classes. You have it easy girl.

Yes some of it can't be pointless but we have to go to school. There are many things I was taught that I never used again

To be honest, I used to hate school to the max-but the way life's been, I wish I could go back to my teen yrs. & be in school again (after high school, it's time to start a new life)

yes it is pointless, and in my opinion, probably one of the biggest scams out there. if you ever need to fall back on a degree, i would assume that you most likely would have much larger problems to worry about.
