=(5x + 2)(x + 4)

assuming that 5x2 is the same as 5x^2 or five x squared,
5x^2 + 22x + 8
My math teacher told me that a great way to figure what numbers to use, find
when do 2 numbers multiply to get 5*8 and add to get 22?
ps=40, p+s=22
you can use 20 and 2.
5x^2 + 20x + 2x + 8
5x(x+4) + 2(x+4) If the two inside terms are the same, you did it correctly.
so
(5x+2)(x+4)
