The funny thing is I already donate money to that organization's cause. I was hoping a lawer or someone attending law school would research and answer back. Thanks!

I do no attend any presentation for a non profit organization and have never had a problem with my employers about it. I give to charities as a personal choice and they have never forced me to go to anything.

Read your companys P&P manual. If nothing relates to your
attending said functions I would say you do not have to attend.

If you are on a salary you had better get your self to the presentation or you are going to be on someones s--- List.

If it is during work hours, you had better do what your boss asks you to. They can't literally force you, unless you consider the threat of unemployment to be force.
