Unfortunately, the United States would lose. It matters not whether Venezuala has an army. Chavez is sitting on one-third of the world's oil supply. Not to mention his various alliances with terrorist nations, the most obvious being Iran.

No its not a stupid question but the truth is even harder to understand.
America has no way of protecting her self. She has no Army, no Navy, no Air Force etc. She may have the National Guard but its home bound in most cases.
Now America is a foreign country to the United Sates. The United States has all the Army, Navy etc.
When US citizens, not American Citizens join to the branches of service as in Army, Navy etc. they are fighting for the United States also known as District of Columbia NOT America. They are fighting for a corporation.
American Citizens can give up their citizenship and become a US citizen by getting a Social Security number then they will be called to the draft.

It is a simple question
The United State of America will lose big time!!! Not military but lose respect by our neighbors
Soon our neigbors will seek nuclear bombs just so we won't attack them. All their nuclear bombs will be pointing at the USA.... just because Exxon wanted more $$$
