Hubby says.....he can't put it in a sentence....he says it's what women want, to enjoy life, and for each individual, it's a different thing.....I know hubby values his family, his ability to provide (manliness)...but (my own two cents) it's so individual....I think men are simple, but in reality, my man is complex too....there is no one answer fits all, just as it is for women.
For some it's their values, their character, their environment, their culture that helps to dictate what they want from life.....

Peace, equality, fair go, acceptance and management of evil rather than eradication, someone to love. That's just me though

I think it varies from guy to guy, and they want a number of things. I may want the same things or different things, then other guys.
