The average price a dealer would buy it from you if the note is in "good" condition is $2.50.

The average price the dealer will sell it for depends largely on its condiion. Prices by condition are

Good - $3.00
Very fine - $5.50
Uncirculated - $15.00

It is probably worth whatever the scrap metal is going for.

I would take it to a collector or coin store. No one is going to give you a free appraisal, they can cost upwards of $100.

not much more than that go to the library and look under collecting values books they will direct you where to go
