It kind of depends. They have the really posh, new, very spacious houses that start at around 360,000 (2 bedroom ones. Some can have up to 8 or 9 rooms. Plus, the houses are in a really nice area.

I would say that for an average house, around 20-25 years old, 4bdr, 3 bathrooms, would cost around 320,000. For 370,000 to 450,000 you could find a house with more rooms and bathrooms. Possibly newer, too. And in my area, there is a lot of commercial, but very low crime, green everywhere, and whenever you buy a house (even a townhouse), you are always by a park and have a big yard. The education is pretty good, too.

regular 3 bedroom 1 bath 1 car garage about 1100 sq ft living area, frame built in 1950's on a pier and beam. about $70000.

3 bedroom 2 bath 2 car garage brick house built on a slab in 1980's about $95000

$2000/month, with a 10% down, and good credit. About $270k. Now just figure out where I live.

To buy it here.. a basic 3 bedroom would run you about $1m (sorry - California even AFTER the housing failure)

to $700K in the east bay anyway............much higher elsewhere.
