Sadly you were BOTH combatants in the school yard brawl.
YOU BOTH have to suffer the consequences.
Sorry kiddo.

Well, I'm inclined to call bullshit on this, but we'll try to take it by the numbers. First, if he hit you first, its self defense. You should have some witnesses, so they should be able to speak on you behalf as to who threw the first blow, etc.
Now as to when it comes to kickin the person in the face, that might be considered a bit of excessive force. I always look at it that once they stop moving, THEN the issue is over, but you seem to have done the right thing and walked away, so you can argue that to a judge.
Now the thing I find confusing is that you state you have to do 2 months i juvie??? Did you already go to court and get sentenced? If you did then your boned, if not, give the detective that's assigned to your case the names of people who witnessed the issue and then go into court and argue self defense.
Hope this helps man, good luck.

When the other guy attacked you by surprise, you needed to defend yourself. But once he was on the ground grabbing his face, it's pretty hard to see why you needed to kick his face. You knew you weren't in danger at that point and there were plenty of people around, you could have gotten to safety if necessary. So what you did is probably considered 'unnecessary force'.
And there is another factor here too. I'm going to guess that this is far (very far?) from your first rule infraction at school. I'd guess if you were a well-behaved student who followed the rules and treated other students and school staff with respect that your consequences would have been handled and investigated quite a bit differently.
They have been telling you for years that you should behave and follow the rules, but you don't really care about that do you? Nope. I hope that you will take care of yourself from now on and treat other people respectfully at the same time. You have my best wishes for your future success.

tough sh1t!! you cheap shot him when you kicked him in the face. That was WAY out of line!! There was someone where i live that did that and killed the guy guess where he is now. Not in easy pathetic juvie it's called jail for YEARS. all you get is 2 months in juvie? Pathetic! Violance is no way to settle things i really hope you learn that one day. Don't say your really sorry when your not your just trying to make people feel sorry for you. If you were "sorry" maybe you should go tell the guy that you kicked in the face that. You should be getting alot more than 2 months in juvie but i hope they run your butt into the ground!

Well, that wasn't a very smart move, but there's nothing you can do about it now except learn from your mistake and don't get into that kind of situation again. Do your time, and when it's done, do your best to stay clean. People make mistakes and things happen in life, just do your best to stay on the good path. Your parents will forgive you. It's up to you what happens from today forward.

while you're convicted then, specific, prepare for you insurance expenditures to flow throughout the time of the roof. you extremely could touch a criminal professional while you're worried approximately your using license. there are possibilities. you probable would be waiting to get a exception that enables you to flow to college and/or paintings. be careful, nonetheless, in case you will get that exception and you do some thing stupid like this returned, the courtroom will come down on you like $%&$^# on a @#$%^ and you'd be %&^#@!.

By law you can only use a reasonable amount of force to stop an attack, you should left him alone when he was on the ground. That was a dirty shot, you might just need juvie.

that sucks but i think you may be leaving a few things out, have you been in trouble before? it seems strange that you are getting put in juvie for a minor offense especially if it is you're first one

okay, well if someone attacks you first, you are entitled for self defense, but since you went further then that, you broke the law. It depends on how serious it is. It isnt your fault, you were in self defense, but since you kicked him in the face, you became the attacker, not him.
