Don`t forget materials scientists, chemists, mineral processing scientists, chemical and mechanical engineers, civil and environmental engineers and environmental scientists (gotta deal with the wastes and tailings), even biologists for impact reviews and a slew of technologists for sampling, analyzing, data processing, mapping and drafting. aside from geologist, mining engineers are also involved in mining as the name implies, they are responsible for building and designing the shafts in the tunnel mining practice. They are also the ones who determine how to get to the minerals that is to be extracted.
