Nothing happened between them -- it is just two rabid dogs marking their territory. There are a lot of leaders of different countries that hate George Bush, probably the most any U.S. President has been disliked in history by the other nations of the world. Hopefully the next President that comes along in 2009 can improve our foreign relations with the rest of the world.

If you read about past American foreign policy in latin america you would learn about how our government helped overthrow elected governments simply because they were left of center, and therefore "evil commies" that needed killing.

That is one reason. The other reason is because right of center, law of the jungle economic policies have been tried and tried again in latin america, and yet most people are still poor down there. Those policies have failed and that is why latin america is turning left again.

The final reason is because Chavez was overthrown and almost killed by a coup d'etat that Bush at the very least knew about and did nothing to stop. The people protested on mass and were able to put him back in power.

Chavez believes Bush had something to do with the coup.

It's all an "act". Chavez doesn't hate Bush... -In fact, he LOVES the guy. -Because it gives him (Chavez), a "bad guy" to beat up on in the Venezuelan & World Media, and make HIS Country look good. Because of the War, Bush hasn't made many friends in the World since he took Office- & Hugo knows this. So he takes advantage of Bush's unpopularity- and makes it worse. So you see, it's nothing "personal" beteen them... It's just Politics.

Because Chavez is Evil... Communist... same thing... The US represents good so Chavez hates it and it's President... That will change if/when we get a Democrat as President.

Why not? It's so in right now. He's jumping on the bandwagon. It's like hating pedophiles - who's going to give you bad press for that?

Because Bush-types have a habit of sticking their noses in other people's business, and trying to tell them how to run their own country, when he can't even run his.

Propaganda - it makes him look big and important to his people if he has the cajones to stand up to the pres. of the USA.

Too bad we give his country so much aid money & subsidize his abusive rhetoric. We should stop that immediately.
