Ball pythons are known for going off feed, so don't get alarmed. You can try turning up the heat, it will help with both digestion and appetite. In the mean time keep fresh water available and stick to your regular feeding schedule, remove if not eaten and try warming the mouse before feeding since balls tend to hunt more by sense then sight. Also if you have been handling your ball alot it could be on edge so leave it alone and I hope you have a hide in the environment.

Get that mouse out of the cage. It's gotta be rotten & pretty smelly by now. Ball pythons go off their food all the time for no apparent reason. Don't panic, just keep fresh water available & offer food once a week till your snake eats
PS: Don't ever leave a dead mouse in the cage for three days, overnight is even pushing the time limit of safe eating matter.

1. How often are you feeding her. Snakes can last months with out food, so is it hungry?
2. Try feeding it a live mouse. I had the same problem with my snake, it was not eating frozen mice so I had to feed it live mice, until recently I transfered over to frozen ones.

You don't mention what kind of snake it is. Is it a ball python? I ask because they often stop feeding for no reason. My adult females stop eating for most of the winter, and often go months. One day, they'll start again like nothing ever happened. This is perfectly normal. If it is a ball python, there's no need to go to the vet until the snake is looking very thin and weak. If it's not a ball python, check your temperatures, and try again next week. Most vets won't know what to do anyway, and they'll still charge you a good amount of money.

They are known for being picky eaters! Don't leave the mouse in there for 3 days--it will be rotten and could make her sick. If she doesn't eat on a scheduled day, wait until the next scheduled day. Here are some feeding tips:

Well, my boa constricter had the same problem, she died tho. One word: Vet. If they can't help, feed it cat food through a seringe. If it doesn't eat for months at a time, do all you can.

I would take her to the vet just in case. I hope you have found a good exotic pet vet. It may be nothing, but it sounds like something you may want to get looked at. Good luck!
