Yes it is true. That does not mean it is racist though or that you are being racist. It is the company's advertising plot. They gear the commericials toward African Americans because they believe that they are the largest percentage of customers buying from their business. Most companys use this tactic for marketing. Chuckie Cheese wants to appeal to kids. Beer commercials want to appeal to teens. Okay, maybe those weren't the best examples. But you get the point

I once walked into a KFC in South Carolina on the way north from Florida off of I-95. The place was packed and every single person in there was African-American (I'm white). The service was good and nobody gave us any problems.

You are not the only person I've heard say that though I personally have not noticed. I guess that the people on KFC's marketing team feel that black people are their major target market. In order to appeal to that market, I believe they are wise to use black actors and actresses in the seemingly tasteful manner that they do.

I did notice there were no black people in the commercials when they were advertising those nasty bowls. Remember the ones with chicken and corn and mashed potatoes and cheese and gravy? EW.

I don't know any Black people who like KFC, the seasoning is not right. Popeye's and Church's more likely, if there's no homemade available.

I've never really noticed if the workers and customers in their commercials were white or black. I'll have to keep an eyeb open for it but I doubt it's a "marketing ploy" or a "racism issue."

Around here the current KFC commercial is white office workers who are shocked to find that one of their cube mates is eating lunch with a knife and fork. (Plastic silverware and a paper plate.)
