Shrink the Federal government. Give decision making power back to the states and local governments, and moral authority back to the people.Dial down aggressive military spending, but increase funds for border security and municipal police services. Cut corporate welfare to environmentally destructive industries to give green businesses a fighting chance. Send a ton of goodwill ambassadors around the world to find out why they dislike us, if they do, and talk about reasonable changes that can be made to get to at least the point where we are at a "live and let live" policy with the world.

Programs like Medicare & Social Security must be made secure. Get Big Business outta the health systems. Put G. Bush and Penishead Cheney in jail 4 war crimes. Stop the current war(s). Raise the minimum wage to a "livable" wage.
Make sure that any National Health Care also includes dental programs for everyone.

To quote Ron Paul, "We need a strong president, strong enough to resist the temptation of taking power the President shouldn’t have"

If I were president, the first thing I would do is petition congress to pass laws returning the checks and balances to the executive branch. I would try to get claiming executive privilege, giving executive orders, and waging war without getting a declaration of war from congress all declared as unconstitutional acts.

I would then try to reduce the size of the federal government and return power to the states.

Just compare the country to a family that is in a small town and trying to survive. Friendly with it's neighbors but maintaining a fence around it's yard. Trying to be self sufficient and raise children to be healthy and educated. Trying to help the town become a better place to live. It is as simple as that only on a much larger scale.

I just want an executive that uses his God given common sense, and puts the interest of his people, above all others.

No gay Marriage, stricter Immigration Laws, more aggressive (the government will let the Military invade a country but not put out a shoot to kill policy, go figure)
