I'm interested in watching the show, but I would just like a main idea of what the soap opera is about. Details like setting, time, place, people, would be great. Thanks!

it is based in port charles, new york during the present time. it was origanlly centered around the hospital. more and more it is centered around the mob, the law enforcement (or more or less its corruptness, and still the hospital. usaully all those things kind of go hand in hand anyway. so it has been on for years with many characters that have been on forever. i.e. luke and laura. the other majority of characters are related to the originals somehow and everyone seems to be somehow related to everyone else, be it thru marriage or anything else. the mob part of it adds to the more exciting kind of soap. people get killed off alot sometimes ones that you least expect so it keeps you at some suprise. if you want a real quick run thru of the whole story check out abc.com, they even have a family tree and little character bios on there for most of the characters. at least all the important ones. its a pretty good show/\.

Setting is the town of Port Charles, it used to revolve aroung the hospital but not so much any more. There is the mob violence pretty much daily. The time is current go google General Hospital and you will find plenty of good reading.

it's in a fictional town in new york, port charles and is present time. despite the title, it's not all about the hospital. though everybody dates or sleeps with everybody there's more to it then sex, like mob wars. a big story this year was the hostage situation which had alot of the popular characters in a hotel threatend by a bomb. last year there was a disease that got to the majority of the town, sepelitis.

Mostly it's about an inept mobster and his Holy Hitman. Despite killing people for a living, they are the bestest most perfect people ever. Oh, and they're totally not gay together at all.

Tim C. - No, i'm sorry. Christers run the bible belt, and that they love teenager being pregnant. The unplanned underage being pregnant fee right this is definitely, actual evidence of that. i'm not stunned via something on T.V. anymore.

That show has been on since before I was born. Doctors, nurses, affairs, Luke and Laura, go to ABC and you will find what you are looking for.
