I think they are a legitimate contender. It would also be great to see Brett Favre play in another Superbowl. Though I think the farthest they will get is the NFC championship game. Dallas is just a better team.

I think They will get to the playoffs. The only scares are Dallas. Surprise teams this year: Packers, Tampa Bay, maybe Detroit or Seattle. or, maybe Packers are the usual every year surprise team. '

'98 Atlanta (sucked season later)
'99 good teams
'00 New York Giants (cheater)
'01 good teams
'02 Oakland Raiders (sucked season later)
'03 Carolina Panthers (wishy washy)
04 good teams
'05 Seattle Seahawks (just cant dance)
'06 Chicago Bears (who are DA Bears?)
'07 ???? Pats & Pack 96-97 rematch?

Favre retire this year with a Superbowl (Elway '98??)

sure! why not? in the nfc anything is possible. seattle scare you? not. um, lets see, tampa bay? eagles? carolina? 9ers? zona? da bears? lions?

and then there is dallas. dallas is playing great right now, and is clearly the class of the nfc with the pack next. SO, in a two horse race, i'd say the pack has a punchers chance. i'll know a LOT more about the pack after this week, (pssst, i'm picking the pack).

Right now, they look like they will win their division, not because Favre is playing well,he's always played well, even when losing, the reason is that they now have a good defense to compliment their offense, and as every football team knows, the offense makes headlines, but the defense wins games, the Bears proved that last year

They will if they can pull a running game out of thin air. I would trade Aaron Rodgers right now for a good RB, and the Pack will be back in the Super Bowl.
