No, cells are not made up of other cells. It's true that cells are the most basic units of an organism that's still classified as living. But they are made up of even smaller parts, like the nucleus or organelles. These smaller parts are not called cells.

It's also true that all cells come from preexisting cells. One cell can split into two new ones in a process called cell division.

Are you serious? Cells divide to make new cells. It's not like they get pregnant after some time and plop out another cell.

The things in the cell are not cells, but rather sub-compartments (called organelles). Think of it like a house with different rooms and each room is for a different purpose.
