"Here's what I'll say as president: 'America seeks a world in which there are no nuclear weapons,'" Obama said.
....and I wish there was peace in the world and everyone owned a unicorn too. Does Obama understand the realities of the evil in the world?

To all those that think unilateral disarmament is ACTUALLY FEASIBLE!
Dictators lie; UN inspectors are blind; and evil will always seek weapons.

How many wars would we have been in had we NOT had nuclear weapons? We may never use them and I certainly hope that the time doesn't ever come that we have to... But they're there. Just in case.
This thinking makes no sense. If this is what he's proposing, he just went down quite a few rungs on the ladder.

Did you read the article...? Obviously not. Or you just don't understand what "Unilaterally" means. Is that too big of a word? "The United States shouldn't unilaterally disarm." That means that once all of the nuclear nations decide to disarm together, only then would the U.S. do so. So he won't just disarm and then allow other nations to still have nuclear weapons. You only read what you want to read so it makes him look bad. Also, some fellow Republicans also are living in a fantasy land as well. "But the concept has the backing of at least two former Republican secretaries of state, Henry Kissinger and George Shultz." You would work well at Fox!

er... again this is what he said... which paints a bit of a different picture than the one you do of his comments...
"Obama argued that U.S. policy is still focused on the defunct Soviet Union instead of combatting the nuclear threat from rogue nations and terrorists. The United States shouldn't unilaterally disarm, he said, but it must work with other nations to phase out weapons and control atomic material.
"Here's what I'll say as president: 'America seeks a world in which there are no nuclear weapons,'" Obama said.
'The best way to keep America safe is not to threaten terrorists with nuclear weapons — it's to keep nuclear weapons and nuclear materials away from terrorists," the Illinois senator said. Aides said the process Obama envisions would take many years, not just a a single presidency.'"

Nuclear weapons should be gotten rid of.
Extremely high rate of collateral damage, turns the area it hits into an ecological nightmare, plus some people say terrorists want to get one.
There should be an international effort, no, a global effort to get rid of all nuclear weapons, and then burn the instructions on how to make them.

Criminals prefer unarmed victims.
There is no way in the world to verify if a nation got rid of all of its nuclear weapons. Nuclear weapons can be hidden is a car's trunk and they are undectectable from a distance when surrounded by lead.

A weak US will be the product of the elimination of nuclear weapons when Obama wins.
VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know if Obama will likely win.

Yes. The only nuclear weapons he would have any chance of dismantling are ours, making us more vulnerable to terrorist attacks. Liberalism is a mental disorder.
