is it a good cell phone company? im getting my first cell phone , and i would like to know what cell phone companies you'd recommend... thanks.

Check out their own website. You will see how few towers they have in an area. If your not going to be near one, I'd be leary. But you never really know unless you try so be aware of the trial policy.

Metro is only used only in town. It's not like other phone companies, you can't use it anywhere in the state unless you pay a lot more money. As far as minutes it's unlimited and free long distance for as long as you like. But, not international calls. You will have a few dropped calls but not many. There's not contract. The company is good. You have unlimited everything (almost).

Metro PCS is great if you want unlimited calls for a set price. You can add unlimited messaging & unlimited internet too. The only draw back is that it doesn't work when you're out of your coverage area unless you buy long distance minutes.
