Uhh? M.d Democratic? Just because they weren't "border hoppers" it doesn't mean that there weren't immigrants. Just because they aren't European doesn't make them less of a bein'.

Although Americans used to be self-sufficient before, I believe that immigrants have helped the U.S. function a lot better. I guess the U.S. economy could be OK without the help of immigrants, but it would not function as well as it is right now.

If and as quickly as we want workers a million/2 of the international could be keen to pay to return and pay to do the roles that individuals won't do no longer because of the fact we are lazy yet because of the fact for good or undesirable we can't safeguard your lifestyles varieties with slave exertions. Your posting is the two genuine or frightening as hell what's make me so indignant is the way some excuse the habit of the illigals that purely want a greater effectual lifestyles on a similar time as they thumb their noses at us. Robbing a financial employer might supply my kinfolk a greater effectual lifestyles, yet once I have been given caught my myself and my kinfolk might pay a heavy fee. yet all we mandatory to do is make a greater effectual lifestyles.

Our economy would work just fine. But undocumented labor provides alot of services that Americans do not want to do, i.e. housekeepers, landscapers, farmers, and other manual labor, and etc. This is a big problem without no real solution.

*EDIT* is anyone else tired of hearing this "they do the jobs that Americans won't" argument? i'm sorry, it is not true. well - the only truth to it might be this: this contagious 'entitlement' attitude. maybe YOU'RE too good for those jobs, but decent hard working Americans AREN'T. i apologize, but i come from an attitude that if you can't support yourself and/or your family, you get your butt out there and get a job. you deliver pizzas, you work the farm, you do what it takes... and people do. these arguments come from sheltered people who most likely have never seen a farm. they have no clue what true 'pride' is & the closest they can come is that time they worked at starbucks (for the free mocha-frap-frappe-choco-chino's). if you've ever been anywhere in the US, you would know this. i HATE that arguement, argh.

Bushies like to pride themselves on the 4.6% unemployment rate...

lets do the math...300 million times .046 equals 13,800,000 unemployed people...it is said there are about 12-20 mil undocumented workers...

Bushies also say the unemployed liberals and bums who do the most whining so no, our economy wouldnt do so good because we are at nearly full employment...

our economy would not be able to grow without more workers...

About the same as if we'd have to do without the amount of smuggling that goes on. And then ask yourself if we'd make it OK without supporting the smugglers, too.

Probably do better. Many, if not most, of these people sap our resources without paying taxes of any kind. Their children attend our schools, get free health care etc, etc.

I don't know. We depend so much on legal and illegal immigrants to do our menial jobs that we'll have to find others to do it, which would be very hard.

not during this war time and all the taxes for the war. Un documented immigratn labor helps alot, specially since they are keeping all of their tax money.

Absolutely, it will do better. America loses billions of dollars every year because illegal aliens send money to other countries instead of spending it here. There are also no jobs that Americans aren't doing or won't do.
