@Tony Toreno: Only a small segment of artists have ever been rich, and it has usually been thanks to relentless marketing. Most artists are embracing the downloading phenomenon because it gives them exposure, which is typically the hardest thing for an unknown band to acquire. Most people who download, legally or illegally, still buy CDs, and many people buy more CDs from a more diverse number of musicians if they don't have to risk their money on something they've never heard.

Rise Against and Hoobastank.
But bands like these ain't making money anymore. I mean,

"Who even buys cds' anymore?" If I wanted to listen to the newest music I'll just ask a friend to burn a cd for me or download off napster and limewire. In ten years, Artists ain't even gonna be rich no more. It is peoples fault in here too cause I see people asking, where can I download this song, where can I download that? And they ain't even paying.

Motorhead: Any song will do nicely. Trust me on this one: your lover will cherish you forever. My favorites are "Going To Brazil", "Nightmare / Dreamtime" and "Louie Louie".
