If I have to burn her library onto CDs, how do I do it? Do we actually put in the blank CD and press the Burn to CD button, or do we put the entire iTunes Library folder onto the CD?

Also, she has about 500 songs - how many CDs would that take and is there an easier way to do this?

Thanks! :-D

the easiest way is to first connect your ipod to your own computer and enable disk editing and manual updating...
then hit apply and wait for it to apply it to your ipod

then connect your own ipod to the computer that your friend has the music on. highlight and drag the music from her library onto your Ipod icon in the left hand screen...this will add all of her songs onto your ipod

the downside is that you will only have the music on your ipod and not your computer...
500 songs would be around 25 CDs

You can upload all of her songs from her iPod to your computer & into your iTunes by using a free program called Sharepod http://www.sturm.net.nz/website.php?Section=iPod+Programs&Page=SharePod
or you can get software like iGadget or Anapod Manager. Sharepod is free & will do the job easily on a PC but if you have a MAC you'd need to get Podworks http://www.scifihifi.com/podworks/ If her songs are purchased from iTunes they are copy protected & then you'd want to use the CD burning method to make a cd that you can then rip back on to your computer through iTunes.

Ok now I don't know too much about it but I do have an Ipod>>Why can't you just plug yours in to her computer and download her music into yours?? from her iTunes might have to copy her files into a seperate playlist then your ipod will seperate all the music after you go home to your own computer and plug it in download all the files into your iTunes files. Just a thought. I don't know if it works that way
