Why do I only feel good when I have the best stuff?

Worldly 'goods' makes everyone feel Great when they own them, what ever 'goods' they are.

But it's the Heavenly 'Goods'
that will last forever.....that will really count when we physically die and meet the LORD in the 'great White Judgement'.

It leads you to believe you have a type of superiority to them even if you don't act like you do. It is kind of like telling yourself you are better than so on and this person. Hey that's normal I think for people to feel that way. I always feel good about how smart I am. I mean I know I am smart and am full of information and can find any information I need. I give good sound advice to people and feel I am and in many ways know I am smarter than 90 % of the people out there. I know that is conceded and a bad way to be yet it does give me comfort in knowing that. We all have something that allows us to feel better than most other people in some area. The thing is never allow it to influence how you treat other people. That's when it becomes bad and can be very destructive. =)

Well thats sad because youll never be happy just being you need to take away materila things and give life a try without other wise when you cant get some material and you get all depressed that well can cause problems for friends or relationships. so do something more with your life then buy things

YOU ONLY FEEL HAPPY WHEN YOU HAVE THE BEST STUFF BECAUSE IT NOT ONLY MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD BUT YOU PLACE ALL YOU HOPES AND WANTS IN MATERIAL THINGS, MY ADVICE IS FOR YOU TO START LEARNING HOW TO FEEL GOOD WITH OUT THAT STUFF BECAUSE WE CAME INTO THIS WORLD WITH NOTHING AND WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE IT WITH US WHEN WE GO, SO LOVE MORE LAUGH HARDER, AND LIVE LIFE IS TOO SHORT FOR MATERIAL THINGS TO GET IN THE WAY OF WHAT IS REALLY IMPORTANT THAT IS OUR LOVED ONES!!!!!!

Well it sounds to me you identify yourself with your stuff. You should find the 'good' in yourself, meaning who you are and things that can't be taken from you like your beliefs etc. It is normal for a young person to feel through media hype that having 'stuff' if the answer to happiness. You are are a good person by way of your interest in doing this, going to school , your friends family etc.

I find that a lot of the "BEST STUFF" is made by VERY cheap labor in CHINA, INDONESIA, MEXICO, TAIWAN, VIET NAM (NIKES). Then companies charge high prices (check out prices on NIKES made in Viet Nam by virtually slave labor). Makes ya go HMMMMM?
I bought what I thought was a good motorcycle leather vest. Two of the snaps have broken and I have to have them replaced. I looked at the back of the tag the other day "MADE IN CHINA"...I'm lucky I don't get lead poisoning. At least the black hasn't run off on my neck.

It is normal Human Nature to want what you don't have. There are a lot of people that go on there intire lives not happy with what they have. If you are not happy its because you are not trying to be happy. If you have something for a little while, and then you see someone else has it and you just got to have a newer one, or bigger one. Then that is your Natural dessire to compete. Its no biggy dude. Just try to be happy with what you have, and worry about what you are doing instead.
