Both are very good players but I give the edge to Matt Holliday at this point in his career.

Didn't you already answer your own question when somebody asked if tiebreaker stats should count on the season stats?
You said "So it is part of the game and besides Holliday is ten times the player that Howard is."
Therefore, I guess Holliday is TEN TIMES better.
Howard hits more homers and drives in more runs while Holliday hits for a better average. Howard walks more and strikes out more. Holliday steals the odd base, Howard does not. Ryan Howard has a few records honors and records-rookie of the year, MVP, fewest AB's to hit 100 HR, etc. Holliday has one batting championship and one RBI* championship. You decide. Sorry, you already did.

Last year the numbers were solidly in Howard's favor, this year in Holliday's. (3 and 4 years ago, the edge goes to Howard game-by-game but to Holliday for the value of the season).
Niether plays a prime defensive position and neither is extraordinarily good or bad at their spots.
Since neither of them have played five full years yet, the best answer is really that it is too soon to tell.
Holliday was better this year.

Holliday (simply because Howard has 199 strikeout's, Josh Beckett doesn't even have that many strikeou't and he'll probably win the Cy Young)!!

After the way Holiday played last night? Not to mention he's won two of the three crowns.
He's going to get the MVP.
