Okay, don't get me wrong, I've given them a chance, but I just can't see what the big deal is. I like bands/artists like CCR, Grateful Dead, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Rush, T-Rex, Led Zeppelin, Jefferson Airplane, The Eagles, Deep Purple, Boston, Steppenwolf, The Who, The White Stripes and more, but I really only like 5-6 songs of Pink Floyd's; those being House of the Rising Sun, See Emily Play, Bike, Lucifer Sam, Take Up Thy Stethoscope and Walk, and One of These Days. Any suggestions on what other Pink Floyd songs you'd think I'd like?

I have very similar tastes in music as you, and Pink Floyd is my favorite band of all time. First of all "House of the Rising Sun" is the Animals. Of all the others you mentioned "See Emily Play" is my favorite. But O my God you don't even know Pink Floyd if those are the only ones you've heard.

These are my favorites (in order of album appearance):

See Emily Play
Astronomy Domine
Time
Money
Us and Them
Brain Damage / Eclipse
Pigs (Three Different Ones)
In the Flesh? / In the Flesh
The Thin Ice
Goodbye Blue Sky
Another Brick in the Wall (All three parts)
Hey You
Vera
Comfortably Numb
The Trial
Learning to Fly
Coming Back to Life

I would definitely listen to all of these, but not by themselves. Pink Floyd's albums are designed to be listened to from start to finish. Especially the Wall. It's a rock opera partially based on Roger Waters life. A movie (Pink Floyd's The Wall) was made about it. I would definetly see it; it's only ten dollars on Amazon, and that's a small price to pay for a masterpiece such as that.

For some of the songs, however, I'll tell you now that certain versions are better than others. Go to Youtube and type in "Time - Pink Floyd" for the Pulse Live version (much better than the studio one), "Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb (1980)" for the Live at Earls Court version, and "Learning to Fly (Live)" for the Pulse Live version. The videos aren't that good, but it's the best audio you can get w/o actually downloading the songs.

"There's no Dark Side of the Moon, really,
Matter of fact it's all Dark."

That's the problem. Pink Floyd isn't meant to be listened to as signals. You have to listen to the whole album. If you're looking for a signal, listen to Comfortably Numb, Time, Hey You, Money, and Have A Cigar. House of the Rising Sun is not a Pink Floyd song. I recommend you listen to 'The Dark Side Of The Moon' which is the best album of all time, in my own personal opinion. Pink Floyd are not overrated! In fact, albums like Animals and Meddle are underrated.

Some Pink Floyd songs have the ability to blow you away, but the magic of Pink Floyd is their abilty to make amazing albums. They're not a songs bands. You have to sit down and listen to an entire ablum through and through, that;s when you realize their genius.

Try these albums first:
Piper at the Gates of Dawn (where most of the songs you like are off)
Wish You Were Here
Meddle
Darkside of the Moon

If you want songs:
Shine On You Crazy Diamond
Fearless
Echoes
Us and Them
Comfortably Numb
Mother

First of all, House of the Rising Sun isn't Floyd... sorry!

I would say check out anything from Piper at the Gates of Dawn. You seem to really like Syd Barrett's style. If you like it, check out some of Syd's privately done albums. They're highly regarded among many.

O.K....First...House Of The Rising Sun is "The Animals"...

Oh Man! .Your in trouble! Here's the remedy....

Get a copy of....Dark Side of the Moon....Wish You Were Here...Animals....And The Wall.

Go get yourself a really cool pair of headphones...A bad a$$ beanbag...Plug into a killer receiver and listen CAREFULLY to them all....You should be back to normal by morning.

"The Gunner's Dream" is incredible. That song is in my top 10 of all time. If you don't like that song you are a poopy head.

No, you're not alone. I've never been a huge fan of theirs either. I've been told the same sorts of things about them by other people but I don't really get it. I like some of their songs but overall, I'm not really a fan and never have been. This is from somebody who has been familiar with them since the early 1970s.
