how do i set up my internet connection?

how can i set up an existing innternet account on my laptop its dial up and i gotta hook it to the phone line but what then?

there was no cd its people pc to get it on this pc we just went to this thing that said easy internet set up but thats not on the laptop

I believe you may need to insert the install CD that your ISP has provided you with and then follow their instructions with the access numbers and such.

From there, I believe you may be able to log in just as you would from home.
