I've plunged it to death, thru rid x and also vinegar, baking soda w/cold water....nothing has helped. Also, tried snaking it and sticking my hand up there...nothing.. I go to flush the toilet, it just fills up with water and begins to overflow. Any help would be great, before having to pay that expense of a plumber, especially where I live....thanks

This works. Garden hose into bowl. Hold towels around hose end and turn water on and hold tight. You should be able to create enough water pressure against clog to push it through. I have never had this fail. If this works, e-mail me.

There are really only two places that a clog "in" the toilet will occur...there is a goose-necked shaped drain, and where the toilet meets the main drain pipe.

The toilet augers should have cleared out anything stuck in the "goose-neck" portion of the drain system.

Your hand wouldnt go far enough to get to the spots the clogs occur...

Some manufacturers will have a lip that decreases the size of the drain system of the toilet where it meets the main drain pipe of the home...and clogs form there. Especially when kids flush toys down there...even a snake can miss it, depending what was flushed down the drain, unless it has the proper "blades" attached to the front of the snake cable. These blades can also be changed out on some snakes to cut through roots if necessary.

At the local home improvement store, you can see the different types of snakes available, and even look at the toilets on display to see what you are up against.

If the clogs are not located at those spots, then the only other place it would occur is somewhere down the line.

Do not use anything that causes pressure build-up in a toilet...they are made out of porcelain/vitreous china, and the pressure can cause it to shatter...and can cause serious harm.

When you use a snake, you just have to make sure to cover the bowl where the snake makes contact, so it doesn't scratch the finished surface inside the bowl...

and if all fails, the toilet will have to be removed...

Quite frequently there can be a clog further down that won't budge without professional help. Once you call a plumber they will stick a camera with a light down into your plumbing. The clog may or may not be able to be snaked out or it may have to be drilled out if the clog is heavy, severe or even root bound. Roots can grow up into your plumbing which can clog your toilets or other drains in your home. Once the roots is drilled out rid x or something similar can be used to keep the plumbing free and flowing well.
Good luck!

The clog is further down than you have reached. You may need to go much deeper with your snake. If you have already done that you need to either call a plumber or rent one of the larger motorized snakes.
