Any Ocarina Players out there?

I bought an ocarina and it is coming in the mail between Oct. 9 - Oct. 23
Im starting out with a 12 hole ocarina (all the other holed ones looked dumb)
It comes with sheet music and a case just for $70.00 (pretty expencive(the song book and the case are free))
I was just wondering If any ocarina players are out there and if i could get some pointers on how to play. Was it smart to get a 12 hole

I dont know if this will help but some famous songs that prominently feature the ocarina are "Wild Thing" by The Troggs and "The Good, The Bad & The Ugly" by Hugo Montenegro.
