It is legal. You are paying money to downloading it, the residuals go to the music company and artists. If you are on Bear Share or any of those others where it is free, not only can you get a nasty virus but it is file sharing and noone who made or produced the music is getting paid so then that would be illegal.

Yes. Music companies still get profits from itunes therefore it is legal. Other peer to peer programs (sharing programs) are illegal since the music is being shared or stolen in the eyes of the leagal system.

It is illegal to download music from a website who is not giving anything to the artist. These are more often that not any website that gives you music for free. Also, the program Kazaa.

It is legal to download from itunes, because you are paying for it, and the artist is earning royalties (money).

Yes it is legal. ITunes has made arrangements with the publishers to sell the music. If you are downloading from a free site then it is not legal.

Most different techniques license tune via a per month price, which allows for you to down load and concentrate to limitless quantity of tune. The crisis, those offerings do not paintings with ipods or iphones. The high-quality method to construct a low-priced tune library is borrow truly CD's from peers and rip them onto your pc into itunes.

It is legal because the people who buy from itunes are still paying for the songs and the money they pay for the song goes to that artist

iTUNES is legal.. You pay them for a song and a percentage goes back to the original artist. Whats not legal is when you torrent/limewire a song for free, because the artist gets nothing and you get a free song.
