You're 13, don't worry about it now. Acting will still be around when you're 16 years old. You have several years ahead of you before you take acting classes and audition for roles. Ask your parents to find an acting class for you to join.

Here is what you have to do. 1. get your parents' backing for you to become an actress 2. do all the school plays you can 3. get a mentor 4. take some professional classes 5 make a resume and get a head shot 6 learn how to audition and intervies 7. apply to agents for representation. That pretty much should take until you are 16, Thre are no web sites that will get you jobs, and acting isn't just something to try out to see if you like it, it is a life time committment. Forget agents and Hollywood stuff for now, you need to start reading books like "Acting For The Camera" , getting a good look together and most of all watching the great actors like Olivier, Katherine Hepburn, Sophia Loren and Paul Newman.
Watching the greatest film and stage performances will be your best teacher. See as many films as possible on the big screen that you can as acting on big screen is much different than stage or TV. Read Shakespeare and learn about as many great plays as possible.
You'll need to figure out what parts aka stereotypes you are naturally wired to play as a young girl; quirky outcast, popular girl, best friend, all out rebel or if you want to forge your own character.
Learning how to write your own plays or film scripts will give you a huge edge over your peers. So will nepotism if you know anyone connected to the business, especially family, look them up.
Most of all figure out if you want to do TV, film, stage or all of the above. Learn the differences between the three. Stage requires a lot of projection but not the media type of physical perfection as TV and film.
Once you figure out which style of acting intrigues you then stick with it.
Good luck!

Are there any community theaters in your area? Watch their audition notices, and audition for a community theater show. This will be an excellent way to test the waters, to see if you like the stage. Also, community theaters almost always are looking for volunteers to help usher or to work backstage -- this could be useful experience as well.
If you decide you like what you've experienced, and perhaps want to go professional, keep in mind what most professional directors are looking for is the "triple threat," especially for musical theater. Start looking at training in music, dance and acting, either through your school or through private lessons or workshops. Larger community theaters often have acting classes, so look into those. Ask around for recommendations on good music/voice and dance instructors.

Get a camera or find someone and do YouTube stuff. Some people are getting discovered that way.
There was a girl who became a phenom with her own site who used to make little 15 minute shows with her friends.
