have you seen the construction going on offshore in Dubai : www.theworld.ae people ? well why dont we make man made islands in the med.....where israelis can live on their own islands and palestinians can live on their own land, back as it was in 1948---everyones a winner-whatcha reckon......?

yes good idea but dont think israel will ever agree to that they are trying to take over the whole of the palestinians land there will be no peace till have done this i know its very sad but this is there aim .They are nothing but terrorists the israelis how can they call palestinians terrorists is laughable because palestine is trying to protect what little is left of there land from the zionist state of israel.I am quite ashamed to be british to be honest cos as you may know the british government support israel not the british people many british people are horrified how they can ethnic cleanse the palestinians and nothing is done about this its very very sad

Im a muslim but dont give a toss whether Israel has land or Palestinians have land. They both act like children and dont deserve any land, but that said another idea is:
Make Jerusalem like the Vatican City- Independent. so that Christians Jews and Muslims can all go to worship
Gaza can be Palestinian capital Tel Aviv can be Israels capital. And they can live in peace

If its possible to make such islands, Israelis would have done so all over the world not just in the Med.
Dubai is forced to invest in such projects since they are going to run out of oil pretty soon.
How will they fund and maintain such mind boggling expensive projects by tourism alone ---only time will tell.

Because they would have whatever is built overpopulated within a couple of years not to mention the people that would refuse to even be put on a modern day Titanic island. Total waste of time and money.

It would be much simpler if the West would resettle the Palestinian refugees. The Arab world has excluded them -- it's time for the West to take some responsibility for their resettlement. Is there any other people on earth who've remained in refugee camps for 50 years? Why is it Israel's responsibility to feed, clothe, and provide power and water to a people bent on destroying them?

I'm sorry, I don't think it would work. The palestinians might get this voice from allah to take away the Israeli islands and war would happen again. You know how they are.

As others have mentioned, it is more to do with the religious significance of Jerusalem and other places. Also, some Jews and Muslims are just hell-bent on destroying the others civilisation.
