When Tristan is born, you will come up with sooo many nick names for him (and they won't have anything to do with his actual name)! My kids have been called, Boo Bear, Munchkin, Frog, Princess and some other not so strange ones like, sweetie, love, etc..

Tris or Stan seem the obvious choices. ;) You might also consider Rhys (from the "ris" part of Tristan) or even a nickname stemming from the middle -- Dewie or Witt, for example. Hope that helps!

Ps. I adore the name Tristan, and the combo in full is both stunning and meaningful. Great choice!

nicely, it sounds like this is a female, suitable? if so, i could flow with Punkin or Peachez. probable Peachez nonetheless. It sounds extra like some thing and uncle could call his neice. a million and four merely sound like random syllables prepare. i does not flow with those. Peachez appears like a advantageous little nick-call. wish this helps!

Trist
Tan
Dewey
Tri [like Tree]
TD
TT (like Tee-Tee, not like initials)

I guess Tal may work but people may wonder why you call him that, because his name is tristen dewitt, and you will get tired of answering it.

I think nicknames should be a reflection on the baby, not his or her name.

For example: My son LOVES his bottles and has since the day he was born and I call him my "ba-ba baby" and now that he's older, it's just "ba-ba".

His name is Tyler and of course we call him Ty but that's a given. You'll come up with all sorts of nicknames for your baby that will have nothing to do with his name. You may call him "peanut" or "munchkin" "buddy" or whatever you think of.

Congrats :)
