The side effects of gardasil are pain, swelling, itching, and redness at the injection site. Generalized side effects are fever, nausea and dizziness.

The benefits definitely outweigh the few minor side effects. Gardasil protects against the diseases caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) Types 6, 11, 16, and 18. These include cervical cancer, diseases that lead to cervical cancer and genital warts.

Your question about what parts of the body Gardasil affects is not clear. Affects how? As in posing a risk? If so, none. If in protecting, it would protect anything that can be affected by HPV.
