It may sound simple, and it really is. Just do something everyday that benefits someone other than yourself. Open a door for a stranger, say something to someone that makes them feel good about themselves, feed a stray animal, smile at your co-workers, do some volanteer community work. If you do this, you will find that it makes you feel better. It makes the recipient of your kindness feel good, and a person who observes your behavior will feel good about the experience and likely do the same. It can have a snowball effect on the micro universe in which you live. Give it a try.

Give encouragments and compliments. There's so many people who love to critisize and complain about others but when someone do something good, compliments are scarce.
Don't litter and pick up after yourself. Earth is our home; why would you want to intentionally dirty it up? Would you just throw trash or spit gum on your floor at your house? Remember, we only have one Earth! No one should have to be told to pick up after themselves. We all know better than that.
Think things through before going through with it. Once you do or say something, there's no rewinding the clock.
Smile and be more hospitle to others. Not that you have to give everyone you meet a bear hug and a kiss, just a subtle smile and showing interest in what people are doing or talking about really helps out a person's day.
I hoped I helped!

1. think positive. stop being judgmental. stop looking at the negative side of things always. when i meet people, i look at how nice their smile and dress are, not how bad their shoes look like or how their hair is done. i always see the brighter and positive side of people and things. so there will be room for love and other great opportunities of good relationships rather than hatred, insecurity, etc.
2. love mother earth. by simple keeping your own trash for a while if there is no trash bin nearby is the easiest but wisest move anyone can do. imagine if you throw just one candy wrapper in the streets, and a thousand other people will do the same... no matter how small a candy wrapper is, but a thousand of it will matter so much.
3. PRAY. for a better world.

If you see something out of place, put it in it's place.
If someone drops something, help them pick up.
Smile at everyone, you never know if you might need them.
Be kind to others.
Let people go ahead of you in the cue, through the door, when driving.
If you see someone coming, hold the lift or door for them.
If there is something you no longer want, see if someone else can use it.
Don't take more than what you need.
Share.
Don't take anyone or anything for granted.
Say hello, thank you and good bye.
Practice random acts of kindness.

Sweet sister.. You know this verse ..
In Him was Life and the Life was the Light of men and the Light shines in the darkness and the darkness does not overcome it.
I read your question and right away that little song came to me.
Sing it with me:D
This Little light of mine.
I'm gonna let it shine
This little light of mine
I'm gonna let it shine
This little light of mine
I'm gonna let it shine
Let it shine shine shine.. Let it SHINE!!!
So yes sister Claudine. What can you do to make the world around you a better place? Let this Wonderful One who died for the World shine out from you. Let Him shine out of you at home, at school, at church, when your're with your friends, when you're alone beholding His Glory.
May we be such small lights for Christ. And a candle sister, can go on forever .. did you know that? YES..it can.. just keep lighting another and another like a chain reaction. May the Lord bring Himself as Light and Life to so many through our little shining in our small spaces.
Our Lord Bless You little sister
ur sis
