Yes I think knowledge helps our minds if anything its better to know then not know some people worry to much but that is is where the spiritual side of Philosophy and the rational side of philosophy lies for your own mental health wisdom is a great thing but you must remember to trust God first always he will lead the way to your well being and unrested thoughts :)))

It should. for in knowledge usually come the realization the getting perturbed about anything is a waste of time and only sets the soul backwards, ground once covered must then be reclaimed. So yes knowledge do the clear the mind of all its little and big perturbations.

Only transcendental knowledge will satisfy the soul. Other so called knowledge (material knowledge) can even create disturbances within the mind. Just see little children they don't know much but they are happier than those who have so much material knowledge. But even children are not free. they must come to the transcendental platform of self realization to be fully clear of perturbations.

I believe that uncertainty is the common reason for all perturbations of the mind.

Knowledge has the power to bring about reasonable certainty... this knowledge I refer to is in a very broad sense, encompassing own experiences, others' experiences, skills, imaginative creativity and the lot relating to anything and everything learned or practiced. Knowledge in that broad sense is the only source we have to infuse any certainty in this uncertain world.

That was a really deep question!!

Pyrrho of Elis only cleared his mind of perturbations when he admitted to lacking knowledge.

just curious... why would you use the word 'doth' in a sentence? it's archaic. unless it's part of a very old quote, it should remain resting in peace. if it IS part of a quote, quotation marks are needed. if you just like using words like that to sound pretentious, shame on you. but to answer your question, knowledge is not the only possible way to clear the mind. meditation may work for some, faith for others, getting roaring drunk may work for a few.

No. Knowledge is thought. Thought disturbs the mind. Someone said something about talking is the result of a disturbed mind. Well when most people think, they're more or less talking to themselves, "internal dialogue."

Did you actually write that question? No, absolutely not.

The Will is positive, the Judgment is NEGATIVE.
