It said "Bush will never be MY President" and i thought to myself, how can this be possible? You are a citizen of the United States of America and the President is your leader, regardless of who it is. I never said Bill Clinton wasn't my president, because he was, even though he sucked (which is my opinion and i respect yours). I believe verbal abuse is going far enough, but treason is UNACCEPTABLE....your thoughts?

In many countries you would be imprisoned or killed for such an act of promoting thoughts like that. It is treason. I am not a Bush fan myself but he is our President and Commander in Chief and at least deserves the credit respect for that!!!

"To the States or any one of them, or any city of the States:
RESIST MUCH, OBEY LITTLE,
Once unquestioning obedience, once fully enslaved,
Once fully enslaved, no nation, state, city of this Earth,
ever afterward resumes its liberty."
--Walt Whitman
I think the sticker falls under the original intent of the 1st Amendment. It is never treason to state ones opinion.
Not that I agree necessarily with the sticker, I just think they are allowed to say what ever they want.
"A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined,
but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a
status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them,
which would include their own government."
--George Washington

As much as I hate the thought of this bumper sticker, it really isn't treason. Treason as we all know is defined in the constitution. And to the people who answered before, of course Bush is your President, whether you voted for him or not, he still is the President of your country, that is if you live in the U.S..

I think your definition of "treason" may be a little different than the ACTUAL definition of "treason".

A good question is "Does George W. Bush view himself as my President?"
He seems to be more of the President of the military contractors and of the donors to his campaign rather than the American People.
Bush is the leader of the Republican Party, the head of the Executive Branch, and the Commander in Chief. With today's divisive politics, there's no way one can actually say that he is the leader of EVERY American, and no, it's not treason to say he's not your President.

Depends on your definition of treason!
Here is mine!
He recieved a briefing saying a terrorist want to attack inside the US more then a month beforehand. The 20th hijacker was in FBI custody for 2 weeks before said event.FBI HQ refused requests from field office for FISA warrants for weeks before the event!

My favorite is:
Get involved; the world is run by those who show up.
I think THAT says it all - no matter what political view you have.

It was a bumper sticker, if you read the small print it read:
This is a bumper sticker, don't take it so seriously
Bush could never be in the same league as Clinton

I agree. But leftists run totally on emotion, no reason or thought at all. Eventually they will bail out and move to France and China where they will be happier.
