i am almost 14 (in 1 months) and i do not have my period. all of my friends have it. i know that there are late bloomers. but that's not what my problem is. my sister is 3 years younger than me; 11. many girls get their period by then, and if she gets her period before me i will probably DIE of embarrassment. my mom got it around 14 but i am not sure about my grandparents or aunts. i have "buds", some armpit hair (not much though), and pubic hair. i get discharge occasionally, but not a whole lot (maybe a few times in a month). how long was it till you got your period when these signs showed up for you?

Most girls have discharge for at least a year before they get their periods.
It doesn't matter when your relatives got their periods. You will get it when YOUR body is ready. And there is nothing you can to do make it comes sooner. Just enjoy this period free time. Once you get it, you will have it for at least 30 years!

I didn't get my period until I was 14. It was weird being the last of my friends to get it, I had a friend who got it when she was 10, but that's just how it goes. I started getting discharge at about age 12, breasts at age 11, and I don't remember when I started having to shave my armpits. Good luck, I hope you get it soon!

geez.. i got mine at the age of 9 and had boobs b4 some grls even knew what boobs where.. but some ppl dont have it till their 14, 15.. but its not good when it hasnt come by the age of 17 or 18.

consider yourself lucky! I'm 14 as well and have my period now....I feel so sick. Don't worry my friend is almost 17 and doesn't have her period yet. If you are worried see a doctor.
